Opening a File Without Auto Run

Sometimes it is necessary to open a file without it auto running so that you can change report configuration parameters.

To Open an Excel Export File Without Auto Run

  1. Open Excel.
  2. Press the Shift key (and keep pressed until the file is opened).
  3. Click the Microsoft Office Button or File.
  4. Select the file name.
  5. If necessary, enable the macros.
  6. Release the Shift key.

Note: The file may open in Design mode. To close design mode, on the View menu, click Toolbars and select the Control Toolbox. Click the icon to exit design mode (the tooltip will show "Exit Design Mode").
